Vi er ca 430 fastboende og den største av kretsene i Lurøy Kommune.
Sleneset ligger langt til havs, 1,5 timers ferjetur fra fastlandet, vi har derfor stor glede av ”Golfstrømmen” noe som betyr tidlig vår, milde og snøfattige vintre.
